Geckos, Roaches, Ants, Oh My!

There are a lot of bugs and critters around here. We have mosquitoes, geckos, roaches, moths, ants, FLYING ants, and a couple of dogs. There is also a cat, only one though. It hangs around our hut\house meowing. It kept us up all of the first night. So after that we made sure we didn't let it in, but the cat found a way in. We woke up with it sitting on top of the bathroom (the bathroom has a separate ceiling). We told Georgina about it and she said she didn't own it and that she doesn't really like cats. Yesterday afternoon, the cat came in through a hole in the window screen (apparently that's how it got in before) and got back on the bathroom. We called for Georgina and she called her daughter, Jocelyn, who used a broom to scare it away. When the cat ran by Georgina, she said it was the mama of some kittens she found in our room on Sunday (before we got there). She told us that she thought they looked very small and malnourished so she took them to the vet to be adopted. The sad part is that the mama cat is still looking for her kittens. I guess Georgina didn't know new born kittens are usually pretty small, those kittens were probably fine. Mom and I feel really bad for the mama cat because she is in constant search of her babies that are not there.

We have started our Spanish classes and they are going well. Our family does not seem to know God very well, because at meals they don't pray before eating. When we asked to pray they were hesitant but told us to go ahead and they joined us. Now, they wait and ask us if we want to pray. Mom and I take turns; Hers are in Spanish and mine are in English (of course). the mom and dad of our family have started asking us about God and our churches.

Well I have yawned at least 4 time in the passed five minutes sooo I'm going to bed! Mom and me try to post something every night so we will keep you up to date with our daily... stuff! Talk to you later!

Love,
Candice
